M.I.A, Mathangi Maya Arulpragasam (b. 1975). Songwriter, rapper, refugee, record producer, activist. My daughter Barbara introduced me to M.I.A’s music (and other artists!)  Here she is at The Oxford Union, doing a Q and A in 2017.
